As the Christmas and New Year holiday fast approaches us again (I am sure we all say that every year!) I would like to wish all of our patients and referrer’s a safe and happy holiday season.
Cancer Specialists will be closed for the week of Christmas; Monday 25 December 2017 and will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2018.

As I sit and type this message I cannot help but reflect and share with you the year that has been. Cancer Specialists has seen significant changes in 2017.
Earlier this year Dr Botha and her family welcomed a baby girl and we saw Louise start maternity leave and welcome a baby boy. More recently, Dr Hiller and his family welcomed the early arrival of their son.
In March, we were delighted when Tayla joined our team as our Colorectal PA (A/Prof Craig Lynch, Prof. Sandy Heriot and Mr. Jacob McCormick) and also PA to Mr John Spillane.
Towards the end of June, was the departure of Emi who started a new career in another speciality field. Winter was an incredibly busy time for us and most of the office staff falling victim to that dreaded flu!
There was light at the end of the tunnel with the arrival of Hayley to the team! Hayley started in September as our new Urology PA (A/Prof Declan Murphy and Mr Homi Zargar) and PA to Dr Sophie Nightingale. Hayley moved from QLD just in time to see the Yellow and Black (Richmond Tigers) win the AFL Grand Final and witness Richmond come alive in September!
We had two weddings Dr Jason Chou and Dr Debra Leung (who actually had two weddings! and it still baffles us how you found the time to plan these, you are seriously wonder woman).
With the forward planning for 2018 already underway, it looks to be another big year for Cancer Specialists. We are excited to continue to put in place new processes, technology and resources to ensure we can offer our patients The Best Care.
I will close with a sincere thank you to our Directors and Associates and to our incredible administration support team Rhonda, Caroline, Tayla, Hayley and Michaella for all of your outstanding hard work, commitment and passion for what we do. We truly do have an amazing team, one of which I am very proud to be a part of.
